Tjörnin, which means the pond in Icelandic, is a small lake in the centre of Reykjavík. It has a variety of waterfowl that reside on it, and during the winter geothermal water is pumped in to maintain an area that isn’t frozen over for the water birds. These photographs were taken in November 2010.
The skies are wonderful…. and so is the land and lake beneath!
Iceland always seems to leave me a little speechless. I really hope I get to go back sometime.
