The Stari Most (meaning Old Bridge in Bosnian) in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina spans the Neretva river and is a reconstruction of the original bridge which was built between 1557 and 1567. The original bridge was destroyed during the Bosnian war by artillery fire on November 9th, 1993. The reconstruction work was completed in July 2004. These pictures were taken during my visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina in October 2011.
